METAL AND ENGINEERING INDUSTRY: 2014 INDUSTRY NEGOTIATIONS

The Industry negotiations which started off in March are now in full force. As yet, no common ground exist on any of the substantive issues.
It is reasonable to expect that strike action will take place from 1 July 2014. We therefore recommend that you take appropriate contingency measures to reduce the impact of a strike on your business. In this regard we recommend that you involve your suppliers and customers in the contingency planning process and that you keep them fully abreast of developments.
