COSATU PROTEST ACTION

13 FEBRUARY 2019

Dear NEASA employer

COSATU has given notice of their intention to embark on nationwide protest action on Wednesday, 13 February 2019.

The protest action is in respect of the high unemployment rate and job losses the country is experiencing.

The protest action has been approved by NEDLAC, therefore employers will not be able to discipline employees who elect to participate.

However, the principle of no-work-no-pay will be applicable and employees will therefore not be entitled to be remunerated for the day.
