EASING OF THE LOCKDOWN

On Wednesday evening, the President hinted at the further opening of the economy. When and how this will happen is, however, unclear.

NEASA’s critical view, both towards government’s evaluation of the Covid-19 “pandemic”, as well as its response thereto, is well articulated. It is, among others, our view that this self-inflicted damage to the economy, businesses and individuals can NEVER, NEVER be justified.

In the interim, we will do everything in our power to enable you to comply with the regulations (and abundance of rules) which you will have to comply with when reopening your business.

With the introduction of Alert Level 4 scaled-down lockdown, government waited until the day before the introduction to publish the relevant regulations that businesses were expected to comply with. This is simply not good enough; it is both disrespectful towards business and confirms a complete lack of understanding of the operational needs and realities of business.

Notwithstanding the above, as events unfold, we will share all relevant information with you and guide you, all the way, to the best of our abilities.
