TERS DISPUTE RESOLUTION
There are still many employers whose historic Covid-19 TERS claims have not been finalised.
These employers have often encountered extreme difficulties in resolving these issues with the UIF, which was unable to deal with the magnitude of disputes or the complexities thereof.
In order to alleviate this situation, the Department of Employment and Labour has introduced a new dispute resolution procedure in terms of which a dispute form has to be submitted, accompanied by the required supporting documents.
Please note that ‘disputes’ refer to issues pertaining to failure by the UIF to make payment, calculation errors and failure by the UIF to perform in terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, and do not extend to process issues, which should be queried via the previously established channels, i.e. the call centre.
