SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
SIGNED BY NEASA
Dear Industry Employer
NEASA, on 9 September 2015, conducted a survey among its Road Freight members as to whether or not NEASA should become a party to the settlement agreement concluded in the Bargaining Council.
The results showed that the majority of participating members supported NEASA becoming a signatory to the agreement.
Consequently, and in accordance with its mandate, NEASA signed the agreement on behalf of its members.
The agreement will only become binding on members if and when the Minister of Labour extends the agreement to non-parties.
The conclusion of the agreement effectively means that a strike in the Industry has been averted.
