A MUST READ (Part 12): Why the so-called "consolidated main agreement" should not be extended to non-parties - 90% of employers in the Steel Industry.
Dear Steel Industry employer
What follows is another letter by a Steel Industry employer to the Minister of Employment and Labour.

Letter by employer:
To whom it may concern,
XXXXXX has been in business for thirty years. We have supplied ethical honesty employment during this time!
I object to the Seifsa /Numsa main agreement on the following grounds:
XXXXXX has been in business for thirty years. We have supplied ethical honesty employment during this time!
I object to the Seifsa /Numsa main agreement on the following grounds:
- We already pay the highest industry wages! Compare us to the motor industry for example.
- This agreement, if allowed to happen, will force me to retrench staff. Just for the record, I employ 150 full-time staff.
- We are in an industry already suffering because of high electricity, steel and gas prices. This agreement will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
- We should be creating jobs not destroying them. This agreement benefits a few greedy individuals and the expense of the very people we are supposed to help – the unemployed.
