NBCRFLI TEMPORARY MEASURES EXTENDED

Dear Road Freight employer

As previously communicated, the NBCRFLI issued a circular informing the industry that it has implemented some measures in an attempt to alleviate the impact of the national lockdown.

The Council has since resolved to extend these measures, including short-time provisions, until 30 April 2020. To view the new circular, please click here.

Despite attempts made by the employer parties to the Council, it is unfortunate that these measures could not be extended to a period beyond 30 April 2020. Should any employer anticipate financial distress or shortage of work post the lockdown period, as a result of COVID-19, we advise utilising the Council’s revised exemption application procedures, before 30 April 2020, in respect of short-time provisions, Council contributions or wage increases.
