The SA Government undertook to obtain, on Pfizer’s behalf, all exemptions, exceptions and waivers of country specific requirements, including but not limited to serialisation, laboratory and quality testing. 

Pfizer would have been prevented from supplying and releasing the vaccines in South Africa if these exemptions and waivers were not granted. Why would our Government waive or exempt standard medical product requirements, possibly putting its citizens lives at risk?
