SEIFSA/NUMSA AGREEMENT CANNOT BE UTILISED BY AGENTS

Dear Industry employer

It has come to our attention that MEIBC agents are doing the rounds and grading employees in accordance with the Seifsa/NUMSA settlement agreement.

Employers who are not members of a Seifsa affiliated organisation should take note that the Seifsa agreement has no bearing on them and MEIBC agents have no jurisdiction to perform any sort of grading exercise based on this agreement.

Please note that agents may only inspect compliance in respect of:

• Pension / Provident fund; and
• Dispute levies.

Any attempts to inspect any other records or to conduct grading exercises should be refused.
