Dear Gerhard
We are a circular sawblade manufacturer and are forced to import material from Europe (Germany) as the suitable materials are not produced locally.
However, due to the blanket duty on rolled material over 660mm wide, we are forced to pay the anti-dumping duty on a highly specialized alloy that has not been produced locally since 1990. Of course, this simply adds to our costs and competitiveness on imported blades from Europe which can be imported duty-free.
